Toto Wolff knows how to get the best out of Lewis Hamilton

A frustrated Lewis Hamilton has suggested his first-lap collision with Kimi Raikkonen at the British Grand Prix was orchestrated by Ferrari.

Prior to Sunday's race Silverstone had become something of a fortress for Mercedes, with a run of five consecutive victories dating back to Nico Rosberg's surprise victory in 2013.

In a fortnight, Formula 1 reconvenes in Hockenheim for the German Grand Prix and the home favourite will boast an eight-point advantage when the lights go out in Baden-Wurttemberg. "I tried my best but it was not enough", he added.

Also, in light of the recent shenanigans in Silverstone, inevitably, Rosberg too was asked his opinion on the Raikkonen-Hamilton collision. I'm really really happy, ' the German said.

"People expect you to get out of the auto and wave and smile and all that". With 11 laps remaining, the race started once more.

Sebastian Vettel has extended his championship lead, pulling off an attack on Valtteri Bottas in the concluding laps to win the 2018 British GP.

"It was quite intense", said Vettel. "I don't think there was an intention and l think it's unnecessary to even go there".

"It was interesting tactics, I'll say, on their side, so we'll do everything we can to fight them in the next race".

The role of prime minister has also been eliminated, and the president will now be able to pick his own Cabinet. Erdogan has now become both the head of state and government; and the prime minister's post is abolished.

'It's true that they are very strong around here and we expect them to be very strong tomorrow, but I hope we can be there and I hope we can be close. He didn't see it as a last-to-second comeback drive.

"[In the race] it wasn't necessary, I had a good feeling and the race was no problem". Ricciardo's Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen was battling with Raikkonen but his race ended at lap 48.

Then Toto Wolff, team principal at Mercedes, also raised questions about their rival's strategy.

'I lost almost 3kg trying to get back to the top today for you and for my team, ' he told his followers.

"In the end, he was just 44 thousandths ahead of Sebastian - and Valtteri could have been right in the mix as well, apart from a mistake in the last corners that cost him over two tenths". With Scuderia Ferrari driver Vettel in front, Mercedes chose to do the opposite of what Vettel did - ultimately choosing to leave him out, giving him track position but on older, slower tyres.

Mercedes technical director James Allison said: "Yesterday's free practice running proved an extremely accurate portent of what we saw today". When the guys in front of me pitted under the Safety Car, it was an opportunity for me to get up into third.

Ferrari enjoyed an extremely successful British Grand Prix. Every circuit we deal with, we do it quietly and get on with it, but for some reason Silverstone chooses to make everything public, which causes more difficulties.

LEWIS Hamilton has been accused of crying "like a girl" by Kimi Raikkonen's missus - and told to take up ballet.
