DNC 'Lone Hacker,' Guccifer 2.0 Is a Russia Intel Officer

Guccifer 2.0, the supposed lone hacker of Democratic National Committee emails, just so happens to be an agent of Russian intelligence, the Daily Beast reports. US authorities were then able to follow the IP address back to a specific (and as of yet, unnamed) GRU officer working from Russia's largest foreign intelligence agency on Grizodubovoy Street in Moscow. Guccifer 2.0 started leaking internal DNC documents soon after.

The linking of Guccifer 2.0 to Russian Federation with greater certainty will inevitably lead to further questions about Putin's role in Trump's election as president.

Guccifer 2.0 leaked DNC materials to Wikileaks and pretty much any GOP operative that wanted the goods. Intelligence officials and security experts have previously insisted that Guccifer 2.0 was in fact part of a Russian intelligence information operations campaign and not, as the person or persons behind the blog and social media accounts associated with the Guccifer 2.0 identity insisted, a Romanian hacker inspired by the original Guccifer. Stone had stated that the hacker was a native of Romania and urged critics to not to link the DNC hacking to Russian Federation.

The US government has not yet confirmed that this is true, although a year ago US intelligence officers had linked Guccifer 2.0 to the agency with "high confidence". Stone has rejected the suggestion that Guccifer 2.0 is a Russian agent.

Dijo que con este tipo de actividades se generan fuentes de empleo y mejora la estabilidad de la región, por lo que esperan la participación de toda la ciudadanía.

However, an investigation by The Daily Beast claimed that Guccifer, who had always claimed to be a lone hacker from Romania, despite the scepticism of journalists who had shared web chats with him, made a schoolboy error that gave his, her or their rough identity away. United States investigators traced the IP address back to Grizodubovoy Street in Moscow-the exact location of the GRU agency.

The news of FBI's new finding comes just a month after special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the probe into the alleged meddling in the USA presidential election, charged 13 Russians in the case. Mueller's report also accused Internet Research Agency, which apparently used social media platforms to illegally promote Donald Trump's presidential campaign and also ran fake propaganda on his opponent Hillary Clinton. But, there was no direct accusation on Kremlin's intelligence agencies for meddling in the presidential election.

It is now possible that Mueller will be able to charge Guccifer 2.0 if the individual has been uncovered.
