Online multiplayer for Dark Souls: Remastered will feature an increase with support for up to six players. If the portability and flexibility of the Switch is enabling some people to dive into hardcore games for the first time in years, then Dark Souls is probably still very new to those consumer.

As for the digital goodies, all the downloadable contents for each game in the trilogy will also be included so that players will not have to download them anymore when they purchase the Box Set. For comparison purposes, the game will run with upscaled 4K on Xbox One and PS4 Pro, and there is no mention at all for the quality of their textures.

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have also released the following image for Dark Souls Remastered.

And that does not even include folks like me who own Dark Souls but will actually stick with it and try to finish it when it's on the Switch. Dark Souls Remastered is the latest in the trend of critically acclaimed remastered games. Dark Souls II producer Takeshi Miyazoe admitted that the game was rushed to get it out to players.

In GameSpot's original Dark Souls review Kevin VanOrd awarded it a 9.5/10, describing it as "riveting". "Dark Souls doesn't just surpass other dungeon crawlers; it skewers them with a razor-sharp halberd and leaves behind their soulless corpses".
