The brief on-camera interview was the first comment from Kihuen on his future plans after a BuzzFeed story published Friday detailed a 25-year-old campaign staffer's accusations that Kihuen made repeated sexual advances toward her during his congressional campaign last year. But Kihuen told ABC he was not resigning.

Kihuen noted that he was not resigning and planned on "continuing the job that I was elected to do", ABC News reported. "They looked into them", Kihuen said. They didn't find anything, and they continued investing millions of dollars into my campaign. "They went out there and campaigned for me", he added, speaking outside of his office on Capitol Hill.

"I do find it interesting that the DCCC, Leader Pelosi and Chairman Ben Ray Lujan-they knew about these allegations past year", Kihuen said.

Pelosi put out a statement early Saturday after she spoke with Kihuen, calling on him to resign, saying the woman's account of the "upsetting" allegations was "convincing" and commending the woman for "the courage it took to come forward".

Asked Wednesday if he had any further evidence that the DCCC leaders knew about the allegations, Kihuen hung his claim on the BuzzFeed article. Al Franken to resign. She also said he touched her thighs twice without her consent. "I was elected to do a job for two years and that's what I intend to do", he said. Ben Ray Lujan (D-N.M.), who leads the House Democrats' campaign arm, have called on Kihuen to step down.

He said the measure will allow people to continue working, if that is what they want to do. He said the extension has to be agreed between employee and employer.

"Congressman Kihuen's statement is not true", DCCC communications director Meredith Kelly said.

Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton slammed Pelosi's response to sexual harassment allegations against Rep. John Conyers and called for her to step down. Every allegation of sexual harassment and misconduct is extremely disturbing and requires a thorough investigation. I was raised in a strong family that taught me to treat women with the utmost dignity and respect.

Kihuen said he will have more to say "in the coming days". He has served in Congress since 1965. I sincerely apologize for anything that I may have said or done that made her feel uncomfortable. "If he is going to make a decision to resign, he should say so".

The freshman Democrat's insistence he will remain in the House comes on the same day a flood of Senate Democrats called on Minnesota Democratic Sen. The email said Koltak was "hoping to place them all here pretty quickly in other offices" and asked for help in making connections for any openings.
