Curtis Samuel to miss rest of season

Just when Curtis Samuel's rookie season was starting to take off, it's been cut short. The Panthers later announced that Samuel will undergo season-ending ankle surgery.

The injury bug has pestered Samuel quite a bit since he was selected in the second round of April's draft.

Samuel had a season-high five catches on seven targets for 45 yards against Miami before suffering the injury, which occurred when a defender rolled over the ankle on a pass into the end zone.

Offensive coordinator Mike Shula said Samuel will be replaced by committee, referring to Kaelin Clay, Russell Sheppard and even running back Christian McCaffrey. The Panthers shipped out Kelvin Benjamin before last month's trade deadline, so the receiving corps is pretty bare behind No. 1 wideout Devin Funchess.

La embajada precisó que "no tiene interés en interferir en asuntos políticos internos bolivianos, ni ha participado en ninguna actividad de ese tipo".

Now, with Samuel out for the season, the Panthers have to turn to others to inject that much-needed speed.

He finished his rookie season with 15 receptions for 115 yards, and four rushes for 64 yards.

"I think it's kind of a collective effort".

As a junior at Ohio State in 2016, Samuel was used as the Buckeyes' H-Back. There are some guys on our team that would say yes. "We're going to try hard to find ways to put guys in place with what they do best, and have them go do it".
